Flow

Big wheel keep on turning.

The bike I rented has a rough worn out seat, so much so that if I were to ride it bottomless, my testicles would surely be torn apart. I'm constantly worried about my pants ripping when I ride. Plus my bell broke off and I feel like the outcast in the audience of an old Chuck Berry concert unable to sing about my ding-a-ling. Tragic, I know. But aside from these minor setbacks, the constant stream of money falling out of my ass, and mosquitoes trying to eat me, Osaka, as an experience, has been, and will undoubtedly continue to be fucking awesome.

Proud Mary keep on burning.

I'm surrounded by people from countries everywhere. I can't complain anymore about not making many Japanese friends because there are so many interesting people here coming from so many interesting places. They come here bringing their own perspectives and they share their views and attitudes. I'm learning. About things that matter, probably, more so from interacting with them than I would in classes. In short, it's a lot of fun.

And we're rolling, rolling, rolling on the river.

The worst night: knowing that the Pillows was playing in Osaka and not being able to go. Sold out. Bullshit. I try to convince myself there will be other chances to see them live, but these things are never set in stone. Bands break up all the time, like relationships, like everything else, people, life, the universe, moves, hopefully on to better things. Still, I'd really like to see them live before I go back to the states. I'd like to do a lot of things while this river still runs.
